We moved about a month ago now, and while we have slightly more room, it is still a little tight. Most of my instruments are shoved away in boxes still, and my computer/recording area looks like quite a mess.

The speakers there are new, they are M-Audio AV-40 studio speakers. They sound fantastic, and are also made for mixing tracks, so they serve all my purposes quite well.
The midi keyboard is also by M-Audio, and I grabbed it a few weeks back off of craigslist for a good price. With it I can play whatever software instruments that are available through Garageband, and later on I can use it for any other hardware or software synth should I want to.
The last new piece of “gear” that I have is a base model iPad. Why is this gear you say? Well, there are a lot of really cool music apps available for it, far more than I can afford currently. But I have 2 that are phenomenal, one being the Korg iElectribe drum machine, and the other is a synthesizer called miniSYNTH Pro. I’ve already messed around with both of them enough to put them in a few songs, and I really like the results.
More posts coming soon with a new song, and a couple from FAWM that I’ve redone a bit.

Insanely jealous of the iPad. I saw a Korg app being shown off by a DJ on YouTube and thought it looked really cool for this sort of stuff. I have to say though, that I’m more interested in the iPad than the rest of the setup combined. >_< Ah well, I guess that's just the Apple fanboy in me. Sounds like you have a good setup though, and I'm really impressed.
Yeah it is really slick. I actually am loving it more than I thought I would. There are some really great apps for it (though many are way too expensive) and all the standard stuff (web browsing, music, movies, books) work exceptionally well. Plus with things like Goodreader and AirVideo I can use it as a kind of in-between machine that accesses a lot of stuff on my computer. The live conversion of AirVideo handles even .mkv files without a hitch and I can choose audio and subtitle streams with ease. =)
I’ll try to post a vid or something of it sometime soonish.
